Cinematic visual storytelling for brands, movement lovers, and lifestyle. Intentional, soulful, and always a little bit French.

I'm Melody Battentier, a French photographer, creative director, and yoga teacher raised in the French Alps and based in London.

I trained in ballet for twelve years. Not because I wanted to perform, but because I learned something most photographers never get taught: how to read a body before it moves. Today I bring that same understanding to every frame: the millisecond before a leap, the exhale inside a pose, the tension in a body about to do something extraordinary.

After a decade directing campaigns across agencies in Paris and London, I took the leap into freelance life. Now I travel the world photographing brands, movers, and stories that light me up and teaching others who want to see more deeply.

My images feel like stills from a film nobody made yet. Cinematic, intentional, nothing extra. Very French.

Oh, and I teach yoga. Which means empathy and presence aren't just words for me, they're the foundation of how I show up in every room.

1. Twelve years of ballet gave me more than an artistic eye. It gave me the discipline and the ability to anticipate movement that shapes everything I create.

2. I map the best chocolate chip cookies in every city I visit. I take this very seriously.

3. I’m a musical theater obsessive. If I could live inside a Sondheim show for a week, I genuinely would.

4. The French Alps are my rock and my rhythm. I carry them with me everywhere.

5. My parents named me Melody because of their love for music. It stuck. People always remember.

Five fun facts about me:
